Some catching up to do

This is the platform from where the future is built.

We have traveled a path. We now pause to bring you to our present state.

About two months ago my wife and I decided it was time to move on from renting. We were to become house hunters hunting for a Mid-Century Modern in Indianapolis. For the past two years we
've been living in an inspired duplex in Cottage Home near downtown. It's been beautifully renovated with a modern interior.

These pictures showcase the floating staircase and built-in entertainment
center/fireplace. This space will soon be up for rent if you're interested.

Upon the hunt pictures were taken

This is a mere glimpse. There are many more out there. We would love to point you in several directions if you would like to find one.

Fast forward...

With a great deal of highs and lows, excitements and disappointments, we have found the outlet for our inspiration:

It's a 3 bdrm 1,400 sqft with an additional 1,000 sqft in the basement. We have an accepted offer in, and will be doing inspections tomorrow. This home was subjected to a "quick" flip and many bad decisions ensued. We have a detailed undo-then-renovate plan in place and are ready to pounce pending a favorable inspection and closing.

A friend of ours recently sold the house in the bottom photo. Great house , not very big , but he had done some nice reno in the bathrooms.
We also have a MCM ranch in indy and some how I stumbled upon your blog.
Keep up the good work!

That was actually the first house I drove past that inspired this whole MCM movement in me. What part of town do you live in?

There are several other Indy MCM fans and before long we'll be planning a get together of sorts. Any interest?

We live just west of Broad Ripple, Kessler and Grandview area. We are always finding little pockets of cool houses. Where are you?
Definitely interested in a get together. Any reason to find a sitter for our three children and get out!
